A variety of classic arcade games are located in the lodge for your enjoyment! *All of the games are coin operated.* ## Campfires It is always a good idea to relax by a fire after a long day of adventuring and fun! Fire rings are available with the purchase of firewood from the gift shop. ## Court Sports Spend an afternoon enjoying the lodge's outdoor recreation areas, including basketball hoops, volleyball, tennis courts, and cornhole. *Access to the indoor & outdoor pool is included in your lodge or cabin stay. Please call our front desk to inquire about Day Passes.* ## Activities in the State Park ## Hiking Explore more than 60 miles of trails that wind through the rolling hills, wooded valleys, and scenic overlooks of Shawnee State Park. From easy nature walks to challenging backcountry treks, hiking at Shawnee offers an unforgettable way to experience the beauty of Ohio's Appalachian foothills. Featuring a mix of open and wooded holes, Shawnee's disc golf course is a favorite for beginners and seasoned players alike. ## Kayak Loop Located at the Ohio River Campground Launch into adventure on the 1-mile paddling loop at the Ohio River Campground. With calm waters and scenic surroundings, it's the perfect outing for both first-time paddlers and experienced explorers. Kayak rentals may be available onsite. ## Storybook Trail Follow the pages of a beloved children's story as you stroll along the Shawnee Storybook Trail, where reading and nature come together in a fun outdoor experience. ## Public Beach Public beaches are situated on both Roosevelt Lake and Turkey Creek Lake. Swimming is permitted in designated areas. Please exercise caution while swimming at the beach; the beaches are unguarded. Pets are NOT allowed on swimming beaches. ## Archery Range Take aim and enjoy a unique outdoor experience at Shawnee State Park's archery range. Field tips only; no broadheads. Bring your own equipment. ## Birding Birding is great in late April and early May as migratory birds make their first stop in Ohio throughout the Shawnee region. Visitors encounter birds from ridgetops to valleys by taking the scenic auto tour through the state forest or by walking the many miles of trials within the park and forest. More than 100 species can be found in the region during migration and many stay to nest, including the noteworthy Cerulean, Worm-Eating, and Kentucky warblers. While hunting is not permitted within Shawnee State Park, the adjacent Shawnee State Forest offers thousands of acres of public land for outdoor enthusiasts to explore during hunting season. ## Mountain Biking Explore miles of mountain biking trails that wind through the rolling hills and forests of Shawnee State Park, offering scenic views and challenges for a variety of skill levels.
